EURAXESS Roadshow

The EURAXESS Roadshow arrives at Thessaloniki on 31st March!

Get your research career moving by visiting the bus stop where you will have direct access to information terminals and EURAXESS professionals, ready to talk you through the awesome services available and how to use them.

There will be interactive sessions such as workshops with experts, discussion sessions, and science slams taking place near-by, jam-packed with info on job-hunting, careers, mobility, funding and more! Ask at the bus for the exact location and timetable.

EURAXESS – Researchers in Motion! This one of-a-kind initiative brought to you by ERA provides European and non-European researchers with all the information and support services they need to follow an international research career - within Europe and further afield. From access to job offers and employers, to relocation advice and support, EURAXESS offers it all.

The International Hellenic University co-organises the EURAXESS Roadshow visit in Thessaloniki together with AUTH, the Greek Marie Curie Alumni Association, the EU Initiative “Voice of the Researchers” and the University of Thessaly. The event will take place on Monday, March 31st 2014, at 12:00, at the AUTH Research Committee Building.

Think Social. Act Business.

As part of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) program “Think Social. Act Business” and in collaboration with and the Metropolitan Developing Agency of Thessaloniki S.A.*, policy influencers, social enterprises and experts from across Europe will come together in Thessaloniki for an one day policy dialogue and parallel workshops to share and learn from experiences in the Social Enterprise sector in the region.

The project builds on the special focus of the European Commission on Social Economy Development, and responds to an evidenced need to:

  • Raise awareness on Social Entrepreneurship among young people and policy makers
  • Increase opportunities for sharing expertise on Social Entrepreneurship
  • Facilitate the development of an ecosystem on Social Entrepreneurship

SAP Startup Forum and HANA Bootcamp

Come to the SAP Startup Forum and HANA Bootcamp for two days of collaboration, learning and networking with like-minded leaders focused on analytics and big data trends and technologies.

  • We're bringing together experts and speakers who will help shape the discussion around the needs and gaps in the industry and where big data is heading.
  • We are looking for promising startups interested in exploring and developing solutions on top of the enterprise application platform SAP HANA. By handling massive volumes of structured and unstructured data entirely in its in-memory database, SAP HANA enables applications and analytics to execute their data intense operations right where data resides. In doing so, SAP HANA helps customers to achieve performance improvements of up to 100,000 times compared to traditional, disk-based databases while running non-disruptively alongside the existing technology landscape. Success Stories-Role Models

Τhe Sector of Women Managers and Entrepreneurs (WOMEN) of the Department of Macedonia of the Hellenic Management Association (HMA) organizes an event on Wednesday, May 22nd at 18.00 at the Conference Centre of Piraeus Bank (12-14 Katouni str. Ladadika) on "New Technologies: Privileged Space for Success Stories".

This is the 4th event of the series "Success Stories-Role Models" of WOMEN in Macedonia in which: Main speaker will be the CEO of Microsoft Hellas, Ms. Peggy Antonakou.

Innovation in Central Macedonia and utilization of WIDE's results to Enhance Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Region of Central Macedonia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki (TCCI), under the project WIDE: "groWing of SMEs: organizational Innovation and Development in mEd area", which has been incorporated and co-funded by the Programme MED, invites you to the Conference: "Innovation in Central Macedonia and utilization of WIDE's results to Enhance Innovation and Entrepreneurship".
